Fikes Fixed It - Bigos Trash Chute Cleanings
In April, Fikes of Minnesota completed three trash chute cleanings for the property group, Bigos Management. For each one we completed a chute and chute door clean, a dumpster room clean, a drain treatment, and bin balls were put in the dumpsters.
Trash chute and trash room cleanings are important not only to get rid of built-up grime and odors, but also to prevent fires. Dirty trash chutes are a significant fire hazard, as accumulated grease and debris can ignite from discarded cigarettes or hot materials, causing fires to spread rapidly. These uncleaned chutes can act as a chimney, carrying flames and smoke throughout the building.

Mother's Day Spotlight - Hudy's Cafe
Hudy's Cafe & Li'l Bar is a family-owned restaurant located off Highway 169 and 114th Ave N in Champlin. Working mom and owner, Melissa Hudy, opened the restaurant in 1999. Melissa admits that the first year was a bit of a struggle, but with the support of her family and her community, Hudy's is still going strong now 27 years later! At Hudy's, their saying is "Enter as strangers, leave as friends." They always greet their guests with a warm, friendly attitude, and are always happy to serve! The local spot is adored by regulars and newcomers alike, earning a reputation for great food and great company.
Melissa has been a customer with Fikes since 2009, and says "I did not choose Fikes, you guys picked me!" She has been a loyal customer for all these years, saying that she could shop around for price, but doesn't see a point when she is completely satisfied with not only our service, but the dependable and friendly people that work for us!
With Mother's Day coming up, Melissa will be spending her time fishing on the lake at the cabin!
